Modestly Linda from Dressesatno9 describes herself as dressmaker but she isn’t just a dressmaker she is a dress creator bringing dreams to life in waves of beautiful fabrics. Her vintage lines are divine and perfect for something just a little bit different.

My name is Linda Davey and I ‘do’ dressmaking.
My main line of work focuses on bridal, bridesmaid, occasion wear and prom. I have a massive amount of vintage gowns on my rail ready for next year which is going to be very exciting.

I’ve always had a passion for dressmaking and whilst working full time and juggling a family, like many, has always forced me to compromise on my priorities. My children. So, I decided to bring the two together and work from home thus enabling me to be directly on hand for the family. I have worked in this way for well over 15 years and after taking a few years break, re launched the company in January 2009 and haven’t looked back since.

This year’s highlights have been having my name in print, twice. Once mentioned as the dressmaker in Perfect wedding February 2010 and recently a full double page feature on me in Pure Weddings North. 2011 is going to be just as exciting as I hope to produce some vintage pieces to buy off the peg.
