Spring Forward
So it’s finally here! Feels like winter has lasted forever but fresh shoots are coming up from the ground all the time and Spring is here.
Spring always brings with it the feeling of fresh hope and new beginnings, like the year life has it’s seasons, what wonderful ideas or events are shooting through into your “Spring” engagements, weddings, new babies, new businesses, revamps or rebrands, new homes or just a change of scenery
How will you be greeting this Season of New.

Its a toughie isn’t it, you love your beau and want to make that final step towards togetherness but what do you do propose because today says its a leap year so you should, and hey what about the fact that you’re not up the Eiffel Tower or surrounded yourself with a flash mob on the tube?
Well you see heres the thing I once asked someone to marry me and he said NO! yeah thats right NO, NOPE, Not today not ever and that No came out quickly without hesitation. I was floored and I’m just glad no-one else could hear us. I laughed it off and tried to make light of it but the truth was I knew that he didn’t love me like I loved him and in effect it was over (he had no objections to marriage just me). I was devastated but life goes on, just not with him.
The crux of the matter is this, would I do it again knowing what I know now? and the answer has to be YES! you heard right yes. Life is too short to spend it not knowing, your love and energy is too precious to be wasted. No matter how difficult the truth may be, its always better then not knowing, because once you know you have the choice.
Over the years I’ve been privileged to witness and photograph what true love looks like, and some of the stories I’ve heard about triumph over adversity and circumstance let me in on a litte secret. Life is for Loving and Living to its fullest.
So if its on your mind, go for it and follow your heart not because its a leap year but because you have faith in Love.

How could we forget Rusty
Just pick one! thats all I have to do, just pick one defining moment of inspiration to share over December. The thing is I can’t choose, because if anything I choose people, I choose you, you inspire me. If you are here because you are a TWIPS or have been following the One Day in December posts then you want the best for people, and you want to offer support and words of encouragement now thats team work across the miles. Thats inspiration at work wether you know it or not thats not usual thats brilliant. You got together with 23 other people from around the world and committed to just a few minutes to say “you know what I am here”.
Or maybe you are here because you are newly engaged looking for a photographer, you inspire me because you are about to commit an act of love, and true love which requires you to follow your heart, take a leap of faith and say I will be here no matter what I will hold your hand forever, I will live in hope for our future together.
Perhaps you just happened on this blog because you’ve been surfing the web looking for something that gets your attention, you inspire me! oh yes really you do because you make me want to take better photographs, write better, catch your attention, make more sense have you come back again and again, who knows if I’m successful at that one but you keep me on my toes, you inspire me to take risks. So it’s freezing outside and you want to wrap up warm, you can’t go wrong with a lovely scarf but how do you tie it ? It seems that there is more ways then one and Wendy from Wendy’s LookBook has the answer.
