Intimate Wedding Photography
This is the part where I’m supposed to write something witty, charming and profound but thats where I got stuck. The first time I wrote my about page I talked about being where I had worked and what I had done and which camera I used but it left me thinking is that what made me a great specialist photographer of Intimate Weddings, or was it something more then that ?
I came to the conclusion its probably a combination of all three but that my love of life and people in general is what makes all the difference in the world. I see the beauty in everything and when I take photographs thats what I’m reaching for, the joy, the laughter, the tears and your uniqueness thats whats special.
When you hire a photographer you could say you are hiring me for my eyes, (which incidentally are dark brown pools of eyes) I see colours very vividly and most of the time you will find me with my sunglasses propped on my head, even when the sun isn’t shining, you can live in hope right ?
I’m a glass half full kinda girl, life is can be tough enough without making it harder for ourselves, I use humour to dispel any negativity or break the tension and I’m really pleased to be able to claim that I can get along with most people.
In my quiet moments you will find me reading everything I can lay my hands on, although I have a serious cookbook habit, I have even photographed one for the Princes Trust, or out with my friends and generally enjoying life.
I’m really into food and thats what I take photographs of commercially but I love the joy of sharing it, I’m big on sharing.
I’m good at making and maintaining connections, I have been with my friends for years, school some of them, and most of us live in different parts of the world.
Music is one of the great loves of my life on my CD yes CD player at the moment is James, the XX, Dermot O’Leary Presents, Jamie Woon, Antony and the Diamonds, Rumer and Kylie.
I used to be really shy and it has taken me ages to come out of my shell but I’m glad I did.
I couldn’t live without love.
I love that we still have seasons and I like to try to make the most of them.
I think that the resilience of the human spirit never ceases to amaze me, and should never be underestimated. The human race is at its most capable with its back against the wall, there is hope for all of us.
I believe that life is a great leveller, how we deal with it, is what truly sets us apart and defines our characters.
I know that good health is seriously underrated and truly priceless. It is the greatest gift. I know this because some of my dearest friends are fighting the big C right now.
You can’t choose your family and your friends are the family you choose to choose, no one ever asks would your family choose you, so I try to be a good daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunty. I realise I would be lost without mine.
Sunday is my day, nothing beats an early morning walk to get the papers, sausages fried in a cast iron frying pan, followed by a late lazy Sunday lunch, a good wine and great company.
I’m a photographer because I’m good at it, I love life and I don’t want to miss a thing.
Love, Life and Loyalty.
Orly
